Do not judge only by a university’s name or labels such as “international exchange.” Check whether international and Japanese students regularly study together in classes, seminars, or projects, and whether clubs or exchange programs attract students from both groups. Look beyond one-off events by checking activity frequency, participation, and current-student perspectives through official websites, brochures, and information sessions. Also check for differences by faculty, year, and academic year.
